The Onslow Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI) is the voice of local business in one of Western Australia’s fastest-growing regional communities. Established in 2004, the OCCI is a member-driven organisation committed to supporting sustainable economic development and strengthening the capacity of local enterprises.
Onslow is experiencing significant transformation, driven by major projects such as Chevron’s Wheatstone Project, Woodside Energy’s Macedon, and Mineral Resources’ Onslow Iron. In addition, the region is emerging as a strategic hub for decommissioning activity, first point of entry logistics, and the renewable energy sector, creating new opportunities for local businesses and industries.
With a growing residential and FIFO population, the impact on Onslow is broad, socially, environmentally, and economically. The OCCI plays a vital role in ensuring local businesses are equipped to meet these changes and seize new opportunities.
Our membership has grown from just 18 in 2012 to over 150 in 2025, reflecting the Chamber’s increasing relevance and influence. We advocate for the needs of our members, facilitate access to training and professional development, and work collaboratively to improve local infrastructure, services, and procurement pathways.
The OCCI is also focused on long-term planning, ensuring that local SMEs are positioned to benefit from regional growth. This includes championing local content, supporting industry diversification, and promoting investment in key infrastructure and workforce development.
