Round 3 'RED' Grants open for applications

The Regional Economic Development Grants (RED Grants) program is a $28.8 million State Government initiative that invests in community driven projects to stimulate economic growth and development in regional Western Australia.

Funding of up to $100,000 is available for individual projects in the Pilbara that promote local sustainable jobs, recovery from COVID-19 pandemic impacts, economic diversification or expansion, skills and capability development and new investment in the region.

Who's eligible?
·    local governments
·    not-for-profit organisations
·    Australian registered businesses
·    industry associations
·    incorporated bodies
·    universities or training institutions (under collaborative agreements)

Regional development priorities

Applications must demonstrate how the project supports at least one of these regional development priorities:

·    Prosperous and diverse economy; and
·    Aboriginal economic participation and prosperity.

Eligible applicants are encouraged to contact the Pilbara Development Commission to discuss their project proposal prior to the submission of an application.
