Chevron Onslow Relief Fund - Local Business Support

Published on Thursday, 30 April 2020 at 9:00:00 AM

The Local Business Support initiative is the third part of the Chevron Onslow Relief Fund to support Onslow Local Businesses during this time of uncertainty resulting from the global outbreak of COVID-19.

This initiative has been designed to support local businesses for short-term financial hardship and/or long-term business rebuilding.

There are three steps to the Local Business Support initiative:

  1. An online session to educate Local Onslow Businesses about which assistance packages are already currently available, clarification around if your business is eligible for them and how to apply
  2. One-on-one sessions with a Business Advisor to discuss the specific struggles your business might be facing during this time and how the program might be able to support you
  3. Finally, use the insights gained from steps 1 and 2 to determine if / how to access the specific support as part of the Chevron Onslow Relief Fund

Step 1: Online session with Phil Kemp from Business Foundations 11am Tues, 5 May

Participation is essential for progressing to steps 2 and 3.

You will need to register by following this link: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/taking-care-of-business-what-assistance-is-available-to-you-tickets-103488872002

Once registered you will receive all the details on how to access the online session.

Eligibility for the Local Business Support initiative

Step 1 is open to all businesses, however the eligibility criteria for steps 2 and 3 are:

  • Registered Onslow business at an Onslow address
  • Permanent presence in Onslow
  • Operating and conducting business in Onslow in the last six months

When the time comes you may be asked to provide evidence for the eligibility criteria. A business that claims to be an Onslow based business but cannot produce verifying documents will need to contact OCCI to discuss alternative ways of verifying their eligibility.
