The Onslow Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI) is very excited to announce the 2020 Onslow Business Excellence Awards. These awards were created to recognise and celebrate the achievements, innovation and enterprising spirit of businesses in Onslow. Nominating for the 2020 Onslow Business Excellence Awards provides a unique chance for local businesses to have their hard work, commitment and of course successes recognised. It is also an excellent opportunity to take a step back and reflect on your business, products, staff and services. It will give you a fresh perspective and new insights into future strategies for the growth and development of your business.
As an awards winner you will receive the following:
- Framed certificate and trophy presented at the Awards Night
- A Mastercard Gift Card worth $500
- Exclusive use of wining title and logo in your communications (eg; email signature)
- Recognition in local media and any other form of internal communication
Categories in the 2020 Onslow Business Excellence Awards are:
Note: Eligibility for each category is outlined in the attached document, your business may enter more than one category if eligible
HOW TO ENTER
- Determine if you are eligible to enter the Onslow Business Excellence Awards
- Complete the attached Nomination Form and email to secretary@onslowcci.com.au no later than COB Monday 27th July
- Complete a submission by following the links to each of the categories above no later than 5pm Friday 14th August
- Come along to the Awards Night on Saturday the 19th of September to hear the winners – more details on this to follow soon
ELIGBILITY CRITEREA
To be eligible to nominate for the 2020 Onslow Business Excellence Awards your business must meet the following criteria:
• Be an Onslow based, registered business with the nominated business name having its own ABN
- Not be classified as a publicly listed company.
- Be Australian owned, with the owner(s) having responsibility for all key management decisions.
- Have been in operation for at least 12 months before entering your local awards.
- Written submission must have a strong focus on the businesses Onslow operations.
- Meet the Judging Criteria (below) for your nominated category.
- Financial Member of the Onslow Chamber of Commerce & Industry
AWARD CATERGORY JUDGING CRITERIA
Best Business 0-9 Employees - The business must employ fewer than 10 staff members (full time or equivalent) employees for your entire organisation at the time of your application to your local awards.
Best Business 10+ Employees - The business must employ more than 10 staff members (full time or equivalent) employees for your entire organisation at the time of your application to your local awards.
Best Community Organisation - This organisation must be a registered Incorporated Association and must run at a not for profit capacity.
People’s Choice Award - This award will be given to the business with the most public votes. The business must have completed a submission for any of the business categories listed above to be eligible.
Best Employee of the Year - Your business is eligible to nominate an employee of your choice, if your business has been nominated for any of the business categories listed above
Best Apprentice / Trainee of the Year - Your business is eligible to nominate an apprentice or trainee of your choice. The individual must be currently completing an apprenticeship or traineeship and you will be required to provide supporting documentation of this. The individual must also be a permanent Onslow resident and you will be required to provide supporting documentation for this also.
